Kay Johansen has experienced unforgettably rewarding team dynamics when applying the agile principles as a front-line manager. Since 1999 her delight and confidence have grown as she has led three separate teams using agility in three different companies. Kay has shared her enthusiasm by initiating and actively running several local discussion groups (XP Utah, Women Leaders in Technology, Organizational Learning) and at Agile/XP conferences by publishing papers (Learning By Doing: Why XP Doesn't Sell, and Establishing an Agile Testing Team) and leading workshops (Roadmap to Agile Testing, Agile Before They Know It). Kay believes that work, freedom and fellowship are fundamental to the human purpose and appreciates the agile community's contribution to her richness of life.
